Wedding Program

Our wedding program preceded by the recitation of Khalil Gibran's poetries on friendship and marriage by Mr. Hooper Dunbar.

Following a warm welcome, on behalf of our parents, by the Master of Ceremonies, Mr. Mead Simon.

Our parents offered prayers in Tagalog and Hindi.

And gave us some advice on marriage (excerpt of talk attributed to Abdu'l-Baha)

Mr. Paul Lample was the keynote speaker on the concept of marriage in Baha'i Faith.

Tablet of Marriage was recited by Mr. Chandrakant Butle.

The most important part of the program: THE WEDDING VOWS
"We will all verily abide by the will of God."

Followed by signatures by us and our two witnesses, Mr. Arnold Laroya and Ms. Mitra Naimi in the presence of our Legal Officer, Ms. Colleen Dawes.

As our friends filled the venue with our favorite melody "O God, I adore Thee and I lay my life brefore Thee. How I love Thee."

After the wedding vows (phew!), another prayer on marriage was recited by Ms. Diana Gatchalian Burias.
Clever, how we sandwiched the most important part of the wedding program between marriage prayers beseeching the Almighty for His good pleasure.

Closing prayer on unity of mankind was chanted by Ms. Anja Nicke.

Wait a minute! There was a request from the bride and the groom...
Neil offered a prayer for both parents as an expression of gratitude for just what we are!
And Farzana recited a prayer for all the friends who made this event a reality!

Unity in diversity

Priceless friends who helped!

The photo and video team who captured the cherished moments!!
The usher taskforce who welcomed as well as bid the guests farewell with their warm smiles :)

The hospitality team (fraction thereof) who cooked as well as served Indian and Filipino delicacies, yummm...

Just-a-minute ~ a lot of friends who assisted are missing from these pictures!

Neil murmurred "Time for us to elope?" Farzana, keeping her blossoming smile, consented ;-)
